1st Council Election
The First Council of Wikimedia Hing Kong will be elected on the fourth general meeting (Extraordinary) of the Members Assembly. Members of the Chapter are encouraged to take part in such election, in order to fulfil their obligation and devote their service to the Chapter.
香港維基媒體協會第一次理事會選舉將於第四次會員大會 (特別會員大會)期間舉行，希望各合資格會員踴躍參加本次選舉，履行會員義務及為本會服務。

To ensure the fair and justice of the election, an Electoral Affairs Committee was formed by the order of the Directory
為了達致選舉公平，理事會根據章程細則置選舉事務委員會安排選舉事宜。

Method of Election Regulations ※ 選舉辦法
- THE Method of Election Regulations for the First Council Election (which is called the Regulations in this document), shall be only applied to the First Council Election (which is called the election in this document) of the Wikimedia Hong Kong (and in this document it is called the Chapter)
- 第一屆代表會選舉辦法（本辦法）只適用於香港維基媒體協會（本會）第一屆代表會選舉。
- FIVE Councillors shall be elected in the election, which is arranged according to the decisions by the Electoral Affairs Committee.
- 本次代表會選舉會選出5名代表會代表，所有選舉安排由選舉事務委員會決定。
- ALL candidates shall be members of the Chapter, who shall also reach 18 years of age on or before the date of the nomination.
- 候選人均須於提名日或之前為年滿18歲之會員
- NONE of the current directors or member of commissions shall be nominated in this election (Advisors can be nominated as they are not counted as members of the commissions).
- 現任理事會或其轄下委員會成員皆不能獲提名參與本次代表會選舉(顧問不在此限)。
- ALL candidates shall be nominated by at least 3 current members as subscribers, and self-nominations are not counted as valid subscriptions.
- 各候選人必須最少取得3名合資格會員提名作為提名人，而候選人不得自我提名。
- ONLY members of the Chapter and personnels authorized or invited by the Electoral Affairs Committee are eligible to access into the election venue. Access to the non-member shall be granted by the Electoral Affairs Committee upon formal application to the committee.
- 選舉只限本會會員及已獲選舉事務委員會授權或邀請之人士出席，如非本會會員有需要進入選舉會場之人士，必須向選舉事務委員會提出申請。
- ONCE voting procedure has commenced, the doors of the election venue must be secured, and no one, neither member nor non-member of the chapter outside the venue shall be allowed to enter the venue and vote in the election.
- 選舉當日，一旦選舉程序開始，不論是否會員皆不得入場，未能入場之會員均不得參與是次投票。
- ONCE the relevant electoral procedure commences, none of the members of the chapter shall disseminate any message which is libellous, slanderous, or any message that aims to affect the election results viciously. Members with such behaviour may be deprived of the opportunity to vote by the resolution of Electoral Affairs Committee, and are subjected to further disciplinary action by the Directory.
- 在自提名期開始至選舉結束期間，所有會員不得發表誹謗、中傷或其他惡意影響選舉結果的言論，否則選舉事務委員會將有權褫奪該等會員之投票權，並保留將該等人士交由理事會作紀律處分之權利。
- THE Electoral Affairs Committee shall be the SOLE authority for the interpretation of such Regulations.
- 本辦法的解釋權屬選舉事務委員會。
- THE Regulations may be added to, repealed, or amended by resolution at any Electoral Affairs Committee meetings, provided that no such resolution shall be deemed to have been passed unless it is carried by a majority of at least two-thirds of the Committee Members voting thereon.
- 本辦法須經選舉事務委員會通過的決議案而作出增加、廢除或修訂，而該項決議案須獲得三分之二或以上贊成，方可通過。
- IN the event of any inconsistency between such regulations and the Memorandum & Articles of Association, the Memorandum & Articles of Association shall prevail.
- 如本辦法與本會《組織章程大綱》或《組織章程細則》衝突或抵觸時，概以本會《組織章程大綱》及《組織章程細則》為準。

- 我雖然在香港維基媒體協會中未曾參與行政工作，但我相信我能夠代表一般會員的利益，令協會工作更能合會員需要及協會宗旨。在沒有偏見的情況下切實監督理事會的工作，正是代表會的職責所在。我曾於全港性學界組織中擔當領導工作，又有基礎法律知識，有助於我監管理事會日常運作及處理有關會章的事務。希望各位會員能夠給我一個機會服務諸位，令協會踏上正常運作的軌道。
- Although I did not participate in the administrative work of Wikimedia Hong Kong before, I can represent the interests of the general members and make sure the works of WMHK be in line with needs of the members and objectives of WMHK. To supervise the works of the Directory without bias is definitely the duty of the Council. I have served as leader in Hong Kong-wide student association before, and with fundamental legal knowledge, this can enable me to supervise daily work of the Directory and deal with affairs of the Constitution. I hope that you can give me a chance to serve you and allow WMHK to enter into the track of normal operation.

- Currently, I’m a reporter of PC3, a magazine in Hong Kong.
- I’m glad to be appointed as an advisor of Communication Committee of WMHK in July 2009.

- If I can be elected, I’ll monitor the operation of WMHK. As a part of the normalization on infrastructure, a trustful person should be elected. : Provided a long time with the community, I think I’m a suitable person to do so.

The first five in the table above, whose names are listed in bold, were initially declare the councilors-elect. If no objections or other petitions are raised within a week since the day of election, the Electoral Affairs Committee will official declare the results as above, & oaths and first council meeting will soon be arranged afterwards.
選舉事務委員會已經在點票過後，宣佈初步結果，上表中以粗體字標示的首五名候選人宣告當選為第一屆代表會代表。若選舉事務委員會在選舉日以後七日內沒有收到任何反對或選舉呈請，將會正式宣告上述結果為正式結果，並盡快安排宣誓就職和首次代表會會議。
